D'Angelo and Prince, Janis Joplin and Blind Melon, Missy Elliott and Nina Simone, Junior Kimbrough adds guitar to The Ramsey Lewis trio, Few off the top of my head

Bass: Jaco Pastorius
Drums: Bun E. Carlos (of Cheap Trick).

It's all subjective, ain't it? I think Gallagher is one of the most naturally gifted guitarists that ever lived apart from maybe Hendrix and I'm not alone, the likes of Slash and Gary Moore were mentored by him. I also think that Weller is an awesome singer.
