Focus - At the Rainbow

At the Rainbow tends to get quite boring at few moments. For example, the classic Eruption, which wasn't fully played (just 8 minutes in comparison to the 23 studio version), gets slow for almost 3 minutes where the band just play randomly, as they were merely improvising and showing off. This doesn't do honors to the album as you will find yourself like exclaiming "Come on, enough already of that. Let's Rock please"

There are moments where this album shines though. The rather long Answers" Questions! Questions" Answers! make up for a great example of how each member knows what they are doing, as the playing is fenomenal. Furthermore, Hocus Pocus is the stand out piece of the concert. Being played with many changes over the Studio version to the point of being unrecognizable on certain parts, the track is followed by the massive hit of Focus III, Sylvia. However, the band gets pretty exited with the public reaction here and plays it kind of very fast, forgetting that fast is not always beautiful. Focus ended the night by gently transitioning to a reprise of Hocus Pocus that pretends to reach a great climax but fails at some point for being a track already played.

Tracklist for At the Rainbow:
1. Focus III 3:53
2. Answers? Questions! Questions? Answers! 11:37
3. Focus II 4:22
4. Eruption : 8:44
5. Hocus Pocus 8:30
6. Sylvia 2:48
7 Hocus Pocus (reprise) 2:49
